Responsibilities: Manages project materials purchasing & inventory control functions thru which provides support to production scheduling of all material flow issues to meet production schedule & client requirements. Interfaces with discipline supervisors on planning & forecasting project schedules to meet shipments as well as expedite the same. Oversees material status & expediting, for piping, equipment, structural, instrument & electrical materials. Evaluated material arrival with project schedule & do the necessary coordination to speed up delivery of urgent materials or equipment as required. Closely coordinating with head office custom/procurement officer regarding shipment status & tracking of project materials with the information further discussed with site managers & supervisors for assessment. Sites and advice Procurement of the point of delivery. Monitor material requirements for each fabrication and construction site and ensure availability of materials. Fit for purpose, throughout all stages of the project. Monitor material deliveries against ROS dates, identify potential shortages and ensure that corrective action is taken by the relevant department. Prepare and monitor all OS&Ds and ensure that replacement materials are supplied, or corrective action taken as necessary. Provide Materials Management input to sub-contracts as required. Prepare status reports as required by Project Management.
